This course exposes participants to gradually more challenging techniques of building hollow beads. The virtual classroom provides exciting and effective learning experiences to share with artists from all over the globe.
Participants will be shown several methods for:
- constructing hollow beads on a commercially available support
- for decorating the beads including, layering clay, designing veneers, in-laying and making florets.
The techniques are versatile and can be effectively used on other projects.
You will join a class
that spans several weeks so that you can fit practice
time in your general routine.
The course material is released in
three installments two weeks apart so that you can view the
videos
and integrate the techniques at a confortable pace. None of
material is delivered in real
time which means you will not have
to log in at specific times. Instead, you view the
material when convenient for you. In addition, the
videos remain available for viewing throughout the
course and a further three months after to enable you to develop your
projects.
With each installment you will
receive the course
notes in pdf format.
You will be able to post pictures of your work, give and
receive encouragements and benefit from the experience of others. There
is a forum for you to ask questions.
This
particular course format is designed to create a supportive and
enjoyable environment, encourage learning and
enable networking with
fellow artists from all over the world.
