PODS and COCOONS

This nature-inspired workshop introduces participants to an innovative technique for making hollow beads which can be adapted to other styles and looks.

These beads show no seam. Big and flash, they're just the thing for those oversized necklaces where more is more, yet they're feather-light, a dream to wear.

This workshop focuses on providing participants the required skills and techniques to create hollow beads. Its objective is not to complete a given project.

Participants will be shown:

- how to make a bead with symmetrical thread holes;

- how to make a bead with asymmetrical thread holes;

- various methods for lining and finishing the thread holes;

- suggestions for spacer beads.
